Greetings Lions!  I am extremely excited to begin my third year at Louisa County High School.  My family and I have called Louisa County home for over 13 years and we absolutely love it here.  It is a privilege to be able to serve our wonderful community in my role as Principal at Louisa County High School.

I have worked in and around the field of education for 22 years and have had a variety of experiences. I have worked as a special education teacher, high school & collegiate football coach, and a high school assistant principal and athletic director. I believe in being a lifelong learner, and I have been fortunate to attend some wonderful institutions. I received my Bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University, my Master's degree in education from Virginia State University, and my certificate in K-12 administration and supervision from Longwood University.  I am currently working on my Doctorate in Leadership Studies at the University of Lynchburg.

In addition to supporting students and teachers in the academic setting,  I believe in fostering growth and development in all members of our school community.  I look forward to building positive relationships and a rapport with all of you.  Please feel free to reach out to me if I can help you in any way.  GO LIONS!

Greetings LCHS Family!

I'm entering my 23rd year at LCHS, and I am a proud member of our ONE Family!  This is a truly special place because of the students, parents, and teachers who make up our school community!

I am one of the fortunate and blessed people who gets to work in a field that I love.  I see education as one of the major keys to personal freedom and achievement.  This is what drives my passion for instruction and making sure that we provide ALL students with the opportunity to learn HOW to think, not WHAT to think.  A successful student is one who learns how to properly analyze and evaluate data, make reasonable conclusions, solve problems, and make arguments that are supported by evidence.  I strive to make sure that this is happening at LCHS on a daily basis!

I always try to keep my door open to anyone who needs me for anything!  I love getting a chance to talk with people, regardless of the topic.  Please don’t hesitate to stop in at any time for any reason.  It is my pleasure to serve you!

Greetings, LCHS Family!

It is with great pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to all new and returning members of the Louisa County Public Schools (LCPS) community. I am deeply honored to serve as Assistant Principal and consider it a distinct privilege to work alongside the exceptional students, families, educators, and stakeholders who make up our district. Being a part of TeamLCPS and this supportive community is both humbling and inspiring.

The 2025–2026 academic year marks my 22nd year in the field of education and my 14th year as an administrator within Louisa County Public Schools. During this time, I have been fortunate to serve in a variety of leadership capacities, including Assistant Principal, Coordinator of Attendance and Truancy, and Principal of Louisa County Middle School. Prior to my administrative roles, I was a science teacher and coach at both the middle and high school levels in the Campbell County and Lynchburg areas.

As a fellow parent within TeamLCPS, I share a profound sense of pride in our school division. The continued achievements of our students and schools are a direct reflection of the extraordinary commitment and support consistently demonstrated by the Louisa County community.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions or need assistance. I look forward to a productive and successful school year and to collaborating with each of you as we cultivate a learning environment grounded in support, accountability, high expectations, consistency, positivity, and GRIT.

Go Lions!

This is my 23rd year as the Director of School Counseling at Louisa County High School. I graduated from James Madison University with a B.S. in Social Science Secondary Education in 1993. Additionally, I earned an M.Ed. in Middle and Secondary School Counseling (1997) as well as an Ed.S. in Administration and Supervision (2009) from The University of Virginia.

My counseling responsibilities include all Blue Ridge Virginia Governor's School (BRVGS) students. However, as with all of the counselors at LCHS, I am available to counsel and guide any student at this school.

I am the proud parent of a Class of 2024 graduate, a current senior, and a current sophomore at LCHS.

I believe I have stumbled upon the greatest job in the world and hope that I get the opportunity to meet every student in this building. If I can be of any assistance to you, please do not hesitate to call me at any time.
