Administration

Mr. Lee Downey - Principal

Lee Downey
LCHS Family, I am very excited to begin the 2022-23 school year as we strive to raise the bar and reconnect here at Louisa County High School. With high expectations, accountability, caring, and hard work as our pillars, this school year is bound to be the greatest yet for LCHS. We want to continue to be a leader amongst all high schools in the commonwealth. Our focus this year continues to be ONE Family! It is very important to me and the LCHS Staff to foster a family atmosphere for all students and staff with everything we do.

Louisa County is dear to my heart as my wife Jennifer (teacher at LCMS) and I are raising our family here. We have three beautiful children (Alexis, Connor, and Jocelyn), Alexis just graduated from LCHS, Connor is in 11th grade here at LCHS, and Jocelyn is in fifth grade at Thomas Jefferson Elementary.

Let’s work TOGETHER to meet and exceed the high expectations we set for ourselves as a strong emphasis on academics and behavior will continue to be in place throughout the school year.

Please feel free to contact me at any time here at LCHS as I have an open door policy. You can email me at downeylc@lcps.k12.va.us or you can call me at
(540) 894-5436.

Thank you so much and as always, IT'S A GREAT DAY TO BE A LION!
