Greetings Lions! I am extremely excited to begin my second year at Louisa County High School. My family and I have called Louisa County home for over twelve years and we absolutely love it here. It is a privilege to be able to serve our wonderful community in my role as Principal at Louisa County High School.
I have worked in and around the field of education for 21 years and have had a variety of experiences. I have worked as a special education teacher, high school & collegiate football coach, and a high school assistant principal and athletic director. I believe in being a lifelong learner, and I have been fortunate to attend some wonderful institutions. I received my Bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University, my Master's degree in education from Virginia State University, and my certificate in K-12 administration and supervision from Longwood University. I am currently working on my Doctorate in Leadership Studies at the University of Lynchburg.
In addition to supporting students and teachers in the academic setting, I believe in fostering growth and development in all members of our school community. I look forward to building positive relationships and a rapport with all of you. Please feel free to reach out to me if I can help you in any way. GO LIONS!

Greetings LCHS Family!
I'm entering my 22nd year at LCHS and I am a proud member of our ONE Family! This is a truly special place because of the students, parents, and teachers that make up our school community!
I am one of the fortunate and blessed people who gets to work in a field that I love. I see education as one of the major keys to personal freedom and achievement. This is what drives my passion for instruction and making sure that we provide ALL students with the opportunity to learn HOW to think, not WHAT to think. A successful student is one that learns how to properly analyze and evaluate data, make reasonable conclusions, solve problems, and make arguments that are supported by evidence. I strive to make sure that this is happening at LCHS on a daily basis!
I always try to keep my door open to anyone who needs me for anything! I love getting a chance to talk with people, regardless of the topic. Please don’t hesitate to stop in at any time for any reason. It is my pleasure to serve you!

Greetings LCHS Family!
I would like to take the opportunity to welcome new students, parents, teachers, and community members to Louisa County Public Schools and Louisa County. It is truly humbling to serve our students, parents, and community members, in my role as assistant principal. Furthermore, being a part of TeamLCPS and this supportive community is an incredible privilege.
The 2024-2025 academic year marks my 21st year within the field of education, and my 13th year as an administrator for Louisa County Public Schools. Over the past 13 years, in addition to serving as an assistant principal, I have served as Coordinator of Attendance and Truancy and principal of Louisa County Middle School. Before my roles in administration, I served as a high school/middle school science teacher and coach within the Campbell County/Lynchburg area.
Like you, I am a parent within TeamLCPS and take great pride in our school division. The successes of our students and Louisa County Public Schools are a testament to the unparalleled level of support we have received and continue to receive, from this amazing community.
Feel free to contact me at any time. I look forward to working with you as we continue to share an environment of support, accountability, high expectations, consistency, positivity, and GRIT. Go Lions!

This is my 22nd year as the Director of School Counseling at Louisa County High School. I graduated from James Madison University with a B.S. in Social Science Secondary Education in 1993. Additionally, I earned an M.Ed. in Middle and Secondary School Counseling (1997) as well as an Ed.S. in Administration and Supervision (2009) from The University of Virginia.
My counseling responsibilities include all Blue Ridge Virtual Governor's School (BRVGS) students. However, as with all of the counselors at LCHS, I am available to counsel and guide any student at this school.
I believe I have stumbled upon the greatest job in the world and hope that I get the opportunity to meet every student in this building. If I can be of any assistance to you, please do not hesitate to call me at any time.
