School Supplies Information

Per the standard yearly process at Louisa County High School, teachers will provide students with a list of recommended school supplies during Open House (Monday, August 7) and the first week of school. For the start of the school year, students are asked to bring basic school supplies with them, such as looseleaf paper (college-ruled), spiral notebooks, and pencils.

And just like last year, we also want to provide you with a few reminders that will help guide you as you make purchases in the near future. These reminders will help students avoid items that do not correlate with our school's weapons detectors.

- All three-ring binders should be 1.5 inches or less.

- When possible, please use plastic water bottles. If you do purchase metal water bottles, please opt for small/medium-sized bottles.

- Please avoid purchasing wheeled, rolling backpacks if possible.

- Please do not purchase adult-sized scissors. Instead, opt for blunt, small/medium-sized scissors.

Athletics Update: FinalForms

Greetings, Lion Nation! This is your proud Athletics Director, Chris Baird. This message is for all families who have students who plan to participate in athletics for the upcoming school year.

We are very excited for the upcoming athletic seasons at Louisa County High School and Louisa County Middle School. Today, we are also proud to announce that our Athletics Department has partnered with FinalForms for the 2025-2026 season. This partnership will streamline our athletic forms process and ensure that our student-athletes are eligible and in adherence with Virginia High School League guidelines.

FinalForms allows you to easily:

Complete and sign athletic participation forms for your student(s).
Submit physicals
Receive communication from coaches
Be alerted of physical expiration dates
Review your data to verify that it is current and accurate

All families and students who plan to participate in athletics for the upcoming school year need to register through the FinalForms platform. Parents/guardians, to begin your registration, proceed to: https://louisacounty-va.finalforms.com/ and follow the prompts to create your account. Once your account is created, you will be able to also create an account for your student and sign your forms.

Additionally, please take note of the following important information:

IF YOU HAVE ALREADY TURNED IN YOUR ATHLETIC PHYSICAL: we will take care of uploading the physical to the FinalForms system. However, you will still need to create an account and register your child through FinalForms for this process to be completed.
IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY TURNED IN YOUR ATHLETIC PHYSICAL: Parents/guardians of all students planning to play sports would need to create accounts in FinalForms, register your student(s), and upload page 3 of your athletic physical (via photograph or scan) through the registration process.
