AUTOMOBILE SEARCHES:
As stated in the Code of Student Conduct, any person who operates a motor vehicle on school property or in connection with any school-related activity authorizes school authorities to conduct a search of the vehicle and its contents without notice, without consent, and without a search warrant. School authorities may conduct routine periodic patrols of student parking lots and inspections of the exteriors of student automobiles on school property without cause, without notice, without student consent, and without a search warrant. School authorities may conduct a search of the interiors of student vehicles whenever a school authority has reasonable suspicion that illegal or unauthorized materials are contained inside; this can be done without notice, without student consent, and without a search warrant.
By operating a vehicle on school property, the operator agrees to immediately provide unimpeded access to the interior of the vehicle upon request by a school official. If such access is not provided immediately, the operator shall be subject to school disciplinary action, which may include suspension and the towing of the vehicle off of the school premises.
I fully understand and agree to the parking agreement, and automobile searches as outlined in this application. I also understand the parking fee will not be refunded in the event that parking privileges are suspended or revoked. Furthermore, I understand that any disciplinary action taken as a result of breaking the parking rules, automobile searches, or attendance agreement is in addition to disciplinary action required by or outlined within the Student Code of Conduct.
