Immunization Reminder for Rising Seniors

Immunization Reminder for Rising Seniors
Posted on 07/12/2021

Good evening Parents and Guardians of our rising LCHS seniors,

I am reaching out this evening with an important reminder about the Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine (MenACWY), which we made you aware of on June 23rd.

A bill was passed a few weeks back that requires all rising seniors to have this vaccine prior to attending school for their first day of their senior year.  Again, they must have this vaccine before coming to the first day of school.  Once your child has received the vaccine please fax or drop off the immunization record to our registrar office as we must have proof of vaccine on file.

We want to be clear this bill makes NO REFERENCE to the COVID-19 vaccine, and the COVID-19 vaccine is NOT a requirement for LCPS students. If you would like more information about the vaccine we have information on the LCPS webpage,  Go to the section that says vaccine clinic for rising 7th and 12th graders or you can copy and paste the link below, which contains all of the accurate information you need to know concerning this new bill.

If you have any further questions, we will be happy to address them as soon as possible. Please feel free to call LCHS at (540) 894-5436.

Thanks you so much and have a great evening!
