Greetings LCHS ONE Family!

Yes, this has been a unique school year, but guess what? We are using new and exciting resources to partner up once again with our friends at the American Heart Association!

So get ready! Our NEW American Heart Challenge launches on February 14th-28th. To get registered and join the team, please click here! Don’t forget, if 50% of our students participate, after this program raises the first $500, for the mission of AHA, we can earn our school $500 to shop for new equipment!

As part of this year’s new experience, students create their own Heart Hero Headquarters to participate! This year, students enjoy a new Digital Experience, and complete 10 levels to become a Heart Hero! 😎♥ By completing levels, students can earn COOL Thank You Gifts for Life-Saving raising donations! Students, after you sign up, you can get involved in the American Hearth Challenge Virtual Experience! It’s split into two weeks. Access the info by clicking the links below!

Week 1

Week 2

Another easy way you can get a head start with your student by download the NEW FREE & FUN American Heart Challenge APP and Register for our School team.

Louisa County High School is proud to help the American Heart Association as they are supporting the people in our community, and everywhere, in many ways during this pandemic. We can help kids like our little friend “Finn”, in Virginia, who was born with heart disease. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in America, but now, also, people who have had a stroke or live with heart disease, make up more than 40% of those hospitalized for COVID-19.  The AHA has already funded $2.5 Million in fast-response grants to study COVID-19.  This has made it possible to improve treatments more rapidly. Read more about the AHA’s full COVID-19 response here.

We understand that every family may not be able to donate, but all students will enjoy (and learn from) the Activities in the American HEART Challenge and have the opportunity to use the tools provided in their AHC Webpage and APP, to share what they learn about CPR, Vaping, Nutrition, and Living Heart Healthy, with your family and friends.  If you use the tools they provide to help raise life-saving funds, the American Heart Association will put those to good work to help our community, and beyond! Thank you for being KIND to your heart, and others!

Thank you, from our HEARTS!
